Our eye examinations

At Gavin Opticians, your initial appointment time is 30-45 minutes. During this time we will discuss any problems you might have with your eyesight and general health. This will allow us to tailor your eye examination to your specific needs. As part of our on going commitment to advancing our eye examination techniques, we strongly recommend an OCT Scan is taken of the retina at the back of your eye. This provides an ongoing visual record of the health of your eye and aids diagnosis of many eye conditions such as glaucoma, AMD (age-Related Macular Degeneration), cataracts, etc. We also check for hints of systemic diseases such as diabetes, blood pressure, and cholesterol.
